| Written exams are offered twice each year. During the summer there are two sessions per week, one AM and one PM, available for each exam. Classical Physics will be given during the week following Commencement. Quantum Mechanics will be given during the week following the July 4th holidays. There are two retake sessions during one week in October for either exam, one AM and one PM. To schedule your written exam, please send email to the PGO with your date and session preference. Be sure to indicate which exam you wish to schedule by either "CP" or "QM" and if it is a "RETAKE". The schedule will be updated each time a student schedules an exam via email in the order received. You should refer to this page for available spaces before you send in your request. Exams are offered at 8:00 am and 1:00 pm only on the dates indicated. Each exam is three hours. A maximum of 18 persons may schedule for any one session. Bluebooks and scratch paper will be provided. Bring your own pens or pencils. Calculators are permitted. Snacks and beverages are OK. No books or notes allowed. Please arrive at least five minutes before the exam start time as instructions will be given to everyone at one time. The Exam Room is 114 E. Bridge. Bluebooks will be collected after the AM session at 11:00 AM and at 4:00 PM after the PM session. If you arrive late, you will not be allowed extra time. Note: To schedule a RETAKE you must sign-up well before the exam period begins. |
