"Model Waveform and Detector Calibration Accuracy Standards for Gravitational Wave Data Analysis," Lee Lindblom, Caltech.

Abstract: Model waveforms are used in gravitational wave data analysis to detect and
then to measure the properties of a source, by matching the model waveforms
to the signals from a detector. Errors in the model waveforms and errors in the detector calibration will result in scientific losses, through missed detections and/or miss-interpretations of the physical properties of the sources. This seminar will describe the derivation of accuracy standards for model waveforms and detector calibration which are sufficient to ensure that the intended data analysis applications are capable of extracting the full scientific content of the data, but without demanding excessive accuracy that would place undue burdens on the model waveform simulation or the detector calibration communities.

NOTE: From now on, all LIGO Seminars will be listed on the LIGO Seminars Calendar as well as in these Announcements.
