Abstract:

Alex Soiguine is a candidate applying for the modeling and simulation position at Caltech. He is currently working as a computational scientist at Tinsley, the company selected to polish the Advanced LIGO test masses. After an introduction that recounts his career and discusses some general topics he has worked on, he will describe details of software that he has developed in optical surface characterization.
