Logic Seminar

We'll discuss recent joint work with Iian Smythe on the subject of this talk's title. We intend to focus on the classification of hyperbolic n-manifolds up to isometry -- or, equivalently, of discrete subgroups of Isom(H^n) up to conjugacy. We will not, though, presume any deep familiarity with hyperbolic geometry; efficiently building the relevant intuitions for this area is in fact among this talk's main aims.
