Overview
John H. Schwarz is the Harold Brown Professor of Theoretical Physics Emeritus at California Institute of Technology. Schwarz is a pioneer of string theory and a co-founder of supersymmetry and superstring theory, having helped construct the first supersymmetric model, propose superstring theory as a framework for quantum gravity, and initiate the first superstring revolution that established strings at the center of theoretical physics.
