Division Buildings
Bridge is the oldest academic building on campus and home of the Division of Physics, Mathematics, and Astronomy.
The Cahill Center is a 100,000-square-foot facility that brings together about 300 of Caltech’s leading astronomy and astrophysics faculty, postdocs, and graduate students.
Downs-Lauritsen houses the offices and labs of researchers in physics and high-energy physics. Nobel laureates with labs in the building have included Richard Feynman, Murray Gell-Mann, and David Politzer.
Much of Caltech's research in nucleosynthesis—the process, occurring within stars, by which heavier elements are created from the fusion of lighter ones—takes place in Kellogg Radiation Lab.
The Ronald and Maxine Linde Hall of Mathematics and Physics brings together researchers working at the forefront of fundamental mathematics and physics.
The Ginsburg Center, currently under construction, will enable cutting-edge research in quantum science through ultra-precise measurement and experimental innovation.
