IceCube neutrinos: What we have learned and the way forward
Eli Waxman, Professor of Physics, Weizmann Institute of Science,

The detection of high-energy extraterrestrial neutrinos by IceCube opens a new window for observing the Universe, with the potential to identify the sources of high-energy cosmic rays, to provide unique constraints on models of high-energy astrophysical sources, and possibly to provide new constraints on neutrino properties. I will describe the evolution of the field, the IceCube detector, the measurements and their implications, and what is required to enable fulfilling the potential of high-energy neutrino observations.
